Individual therapy online

50 minutes · €50 · online

You don’t need to come to therapy with a clearly defined issue or a perfectly formulated goal.

You may be dealing with a specific situation, difficulties in a relationship, anxiety, intense or confusing feelings, the aftermath of something that has happened, or simply a sense that something in your life isn’t right without being able to explain exactly what it is.

We can start with whatever feels most important or present for you right now.

You can begin with a free 15-minute intro call.

What happens during a session?

A session lasts 50 minutes. We meet online at a time agreed in advance.

Safety and trust are important to me in therapy. I don’t work from a rigid script, and there isn’t a list of questions you need to work your way through.

We focus on what feels important to you at that moment and move at your pace. I may ask questions, share things I notice, and help you explore your feelings, reactions, needs and the ways you relate to other people.

If you feel a little nervous before your first session

It’s completely possible to arrive without knowing what therapy is supposed to look like or what you are expected to talk about.

You might wonder whether your problem is “serious enough” for therapy. You may worry that you won’t explain yourself properly, will say the wrong thing, or somehow behave the wrong way.

You don’t need to know in advance how our meeting should go. We can begin with whatever is there, even if you don’t yet have the words for it.

What can I bring to therapy?

You don’t need to have one specific problem that needs to be “fixed”.

You may come with relationship difficulties, anxiety, loneliness, major life changes, struggles with personal boundaries, feelings of guilt or shame, situations that seem to repeat themselves, or questions about yourself and your life.

Sometimes there isn’t a clearly defined problem at all. You may simply know that things feel difficult, or that you would like something to change without yet knowing exactly what. That is also enough to begin.

What I can help with

There is no “right” way to behave in therapy

You don’t need to know how to be a therapy client, what you should say, or where you should begin.

You can feel nervous, lose your train of thought, stay quiet, cry, get angry, joke, or struggle to describe what is happening inside you. You can also swear if that is simply how you naturally express what you are feeling.

You don’t have to try to be a “good client” or talk about anything you are not ready to discuss.

Will you tell me what I should do?

I don’t give ready-made advice or decide for you what the right choice is.

I won’t tell you whether you should stay in a relationship, change your job, forgive someone, or make another important decision.

What we can do is explore together what is happening for you, what you want, what you are afraid of, what may be getting in your way and what possibilities you can see.

The decisions about your life remain yours.

What happens in the first therapy session?

The first session is not an exam, and you don’t need to fit your entire life story into 50 minutes.

We can begin with what has brought you to therapy now. I may ask some questions to understand your situation better, but you decide what you are ready to talk about.

We can also discuss what you hope to get from therapy, how we might work together and any practical questions about the process.

How many sessions will I need?

It isn’t possible to determine an exact number in advance. It depends on what brings you to therapy, what you would like from the process and how our work develops.

Therapy can be shorter or longer, but its purpose is not to keep you in therapy for as long as possible.

Can you become dependent on therapy?

Before starting therapy, we can meet first

I suggest beginning with a short 15-minute online meeting. It is free and it is not a therapy session.

You can ask questions, briefly tell me what you would like help with, and get a sense of how comfortable you feel talking with me.
