I'm an online psychologist and Gestalt therapist for Ukrainians in Ukraine and abroad. Sessions are in Ukrainian, Russian, or English.
I work in a Gestalt approach. In sessions we pay attention to your feelings, needs, and what is happening for you here and now, without ready-made recipes or pressure, at a pace that suits you.
Online therapy lets you choose a psychologist you feel comfortable with, not only someone who happens to work nearby. This is convenient if you do not live in a large city, travel often, serve in the military, or simply do not want to spend time commuting. Sessions take place in a private online space: you need a stable internet connection and a place where you will not be interrupted.
You can work with me on anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, trauma-related experience, loneliness, and loss of inner footing. You do not need a clearly defined issue to begin. You can start with a free 15-minute introductory call and then, if the format suits you, move on to regular 50-minute sessions.
Choosing a therapist is personal. On the site you can read more about my experience, training, and how sessions work. If you are in Ukraine and want to find an online psychologist you feel comfortable talking with, start with a free 15-minute introductory call. It helps you understand whether my approach fits before booking a full session.
About me
My name is Oleksandra Romanova. I am a certified Gestalt therapist and online psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with clients. My professional training includes three university degrees, many years of psychotherapy training, and dozens of additional programmes and specialisations. This helps me understand the person as a whole, including their relationships and wider life context, rather than focusing only on an isolated problem. Over 15 years of client work, I have combined private practice with projects ranging from rehabilitation centres to educational programmes. I attend regular supervision, follow professional ethical standards, and work in a Gestalt approach.

Ways to work with me
15-minute introductory call
15 minutes · online · free
The first step in therapy does not have to be a full session. During a brief online meeting, you can tell me a little about what brings you to therapy, ask questions, and see how comfortable you feel talking with me. This is not a therapy session, and there is no obligation to continue.
Individual therapy session
50 minutes · €50 · online
An online session focused on what feels most important to you right now. You do not need to have a clearly defined issue. I do not give ready-made advice or make decisions for you. Together, we explore what is happening so that you can better understand yourself, your feelings, and your needs.
How I work
For me, the most important foundations of therapy are safety and trust. You do not need to be a “good client,” say the right things, or know in advance where to begin. I do not work from a rigid script or offer ready-made solutions. In a Gestalt approach, we pay attention to what is happening for you now: feelings, needs, relationships, and familiar ways of responding. Gradually, it becomes clearer what you need and what you would like to change.
How online sessions work
We meet online at a time agreed in advance. You will need a stable internet connection and a quiet place where you will not be interrupted during the session. You can have therapy whether you stay in Ukraine or your home is now in Poland, Germany, Cyprus, Spain, or another country. I work in a Gestalt approach. In sessions we focus less on events and more on what you feel, what you need, and how you experience the situation now. Gradually it becomes clearer what is happening for you, what you need, and what you would like to change.
Where to begin
If you are thinking about therapy but not sure yet, I suggest starting with a free 15-minute online introductory call. You can ask questions, say a little about what you would like support with, and see whether working with me feels comfortable. After that, you can take your time deciding whether you want to continue.
