15-minute introductory meeting
15 minutes · online · free
Starting therapy doesn’t have to mean booking a full session straight away.
I offer a short online meeting first, so you can get a sense of me beyond the photos and text on this website, ask any questions you may have, and see how comfortable you feel talking with me.
This is not a therapy session, and there is no obligation to continue afterwards.
What happens during the meeting?
During these 15 minutes, we can talk briefly about what has brought you to therapy, if you feel comfortable sharing it.
You can ask me about therapy, my approach, how our sessions would work, how often we might meet, or anything else that feels important to know before getting started.
The meeting also gives me a chance to understand whether I can be helpful in your particular situation.
You don’t need to prepare
You don’t need to arrive with a perfectly formulated issue, prepare your life story, or know exactly where to begin.
You can simply tell me what has been troubling you lately. You can also say, “I’m not really sure what’s going on with me yet.”
And you never have to talk about anything you are not ready to discuss.
This is not a therapy session
We won’t try to unpack your whole situation or find a solution within 15 minutes.
The purpose of this meeting is simply to get acquainted, talk about how therapy with me works, and give you a chance to see whether our interaction feels right for you.
If you decide that you would like to continue, we can arrange a full therapy session afterwards.
What happens afterwards?
You don’t have to make a decision immediately.
You can take some time, reflect on how the conversation felt, and decide whether you would like to continue working with me.
And if you feel that another therapist or another form of support would suit you better, that is completely fine too.
